Brand Overview
BLOQS, a unique co-working space in North London catering specifically to makers, faced a considerable challenge during their brand relaunch. Marketing Managed – (Bacon Marketing), a leading fractional marketing agency in the UK, was brought in by partner agency said & done (ABA Design) to oversee BLOQS’ paid channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Google, along with technical SEO in preparation for a new website.
Marketing Challenges
BLOQS faced a critical situation and triple challenge with a brand relaunch, a premises move, and a sudden vacancy in their marketing manager’s position. They needed immediate assistance to maintain momentum and execute a successful relaunch of their website, brand, and location. While also ensuring that they had a marketing team in place to keep up the pace with their marketing once the project had been handed over.

What made this one work
Three things landed on BLOQS at once: a brand relaunch, a premises move, and a marketing manager leaving. Any one of those is manageable. Together they remove the capacity to handle the other two.
That shaped the approach. We did not start with campaigns. We started by holding the operational floor, taking over paid channels across Facebook, Instagram and Google so traffic and enquiries kept moving while the brand and the building changed underneath them. Technical SEO and UX testing ran in parallel, ahead of the new site rather than after it, which is the only order that avoids launching into a ranking dip.
The PR angle came from the business, not from us. BLOQS is a Community Interest Company serving makers, and that is genuinely unusual for a co-working space. We used existing press relationships to put that in front of the right journalists rather than pitching a generic workspace story.
The handover mattered as much as the delivery. We recruited and onboarded the permanent marketing team, then handed over a running operation rather than a set of documents. Working alongside partner agency said & done meant the brand work and the demand work stayed joined up throughout.
