Google Analytics Vs Google Search Console

Google Analytics Vs Google Search Console

Oh wait, no not VS

Google Analytics without Google Search Console just isn’t enough. The other way round, nope that doesn’t paint enough of the picture either.

So very, very briefly what does each thing do:

Google Analytics

Google Analytics, does just that, tells you about your traffic, where it came from, how it went through your site, how long it was on there and helps you to find potential holes in your bucket. It also tells you where people came from, if you have a transaction of fiscal nature, how much you have made and you can compare data.

Google Search Console

Google Search Console on the other hand tells you what is working, what has been catalogued, what you are being found for, what elements of the site might need to be fixed (think broken links, pages going walkabout, elements working on mobile but not desktop and visa-versa, page and site performance and if it is holding up to best practices.

That little nutshell right there should give you enough of a reason as to why they need to be set up and why they should both be done (and linked) to make your campaigns and all your hard work, worthwhile.
